The best framer around.. My wife has her cross stitch creations framed here and Tom always does excellent work..
Needlework framing that honors the hours
Cross-stitch, embroidery, needlepoint and samplers, mounted and framed by hand so the work you stitched looks its best on the wall.
A finished cross-stitch or needlepoint can represent weeks of evenings. It deserves better than being pinned into a ready-made frame where the fabric puckers and the edges wander. Needlework framing is one of the things our regular customers come back for.
One Google reviewer put it simply: his wife has her cross-stitch creations framed here, and “Tom always does excellent work.”
What we frame
- Counted cross-stitch and samplers, including large and heirloom pieces.
- Embroidery and crewel work, including pieces still in the hoop.
- Needlepoint on canvas.
- Quilt blocks and textiles with family history behind them.
How needlework is mounted
Fabric is mounted so it sits flat and square, with the stitching centered and the weave straight. We’ll talk through whether a mat suits your piece, how much fabric margin to show, and whether glass is right for it. Some stitchers prefer their work without glass so the texture shows. We’ll explain the trade-offs so you can decide.
Bring it in as it is
No need to wash or press your piece first. Bring it in and we’ll look at it together.
Choices we’ll walk you through
Asked often
Should I wash or iron my cross-stitch before framing?
Bring it in first. We’ll look at it with you and advise whether it needs anything before mounting.
Can you frame a large sampler?
Yes. Large and unusually sized needlework can be framed to size.
Do you frame embroidery hoops?
Yes. Bring the piece in and we’ll show you how it can be displayed.
Do I need an appointment?
No. Walk in Monday to Friday, 10 am to 4 pm. For large pieces, call (803) 328-8744 first.
